Enjoy the club style atmosphere with the audience sitting at tables of 10 as we hold a “Celebration of Billie Holiday and Lester Young” with highly acclaimed Canadian jazz vocalist Lauren Bush and sensational saxophonist FlissGorst, thrilled to bring this delightful repertoire back to life.
Joined by accomplished jazz pianist Pete Billington and featuring songs such as All of Me, When You’re Smiling, Solitude and Let’s Fall in Love this promises to be an unforgettable evening of nostalgic musical storytelling.

“HANDEL DELIGHTS” – A Musical Evening Stroll With Handel
Treadam Barn and gardens will be transformed into a typical 18th Century Pleasure Garden.
Enjoy a stroll and welcome drink to highlights from Handel’s Water Music, before taking a seat in your “Box” (round tables seating 10) in the Barn. Canapés will be served at your table whilst popular scenes, arias, duets, choruses and dances from GF Handel’s operas and oratorios are performed in costume with chamber ensemble.
Soloists include Peter Wilman (WNO), Louise Lloyd (Musetta in the award winning “La Bohème” in  London) and we showcase the young Welsh Countertenor Callum Rees.
After the interval Katharine Hogg-Chief Librarian of the Gerald Coke Handel Collection in London-will give a brief talk followed by excerpts from the Foundling Hospital Anthem.
The Handel Opera Society of London’s production archives with also be on display.

Children from local Cross Ash School and Pen Y Cwm Special School in Ebbw Vale will be teaming up again with professionals from London Opera Productions for this spectacular opera (which the children have written and composed based on the famous historical events of 1182 following on from last year’s opera depicting the Christmas Day Massacre of 1175 at Abergavenny Castle).
With professional soloists and orchestra.
